The Bill Passed!
Bill S.209, allowing Vermont Naturopathic Doctors to apply for Medical Homes and continue to provide their patients with primary care, was passed by both the senate and the house yesterday!! A HUGE thanks to all who contacted their representative to help make this happen. Good things are in store for healthcare in Vermont! We also learned that Cigna now accepts ND’s as primary care provider. They also charge patients who see an ND as a “specialist” to pay the PCP visit copay. How exciting!
